Renowned filmmaker Suman Ghosh has commenced shooting for his next feature film, ‘Familywala’. This film marks his first collaboration with Windows Productions, at a time when the esteemed production house is celebrating its 25 glorious years in the film industry. The comedy-family drama ‘Familywala’ is being co-produced by Maya Leela Films and promises to offer a vibrant portrayal of the humor and emotions embedded in everyday family life.
The film features Shiboprosad Mukherjee in the lead role, supported by a strong ensemble cast including Swastika Mukherjee, Sudipta Chakraborty, and Anushua Majumdar in pivotal roles. Notably, both Swastika Mukherjee and Sudipta Chakraborty are associating with Windows Productions for the first time through this film.
Continuing Windows Productions’ tradition of emotionally rich and relatable stories, ‘Familywala’ explores the nuances of family relationships with warmth and humor. That meeting with Mashima (Suman Da’s mother) marked the beginning of a beautiful relationship. She had already seen all our films and liked us through our work. In that very first meeting, I felt like I had become a part of their family. For me, ‘Familywala’ started right there. After many years, this is the first time I’m working under another director’s vision for Windows, and I am grateful to Suman Da for this. My character in ‘Familywala’ is one that any actor would cherish for a lifetime.
